PILOT FLEETS

To solve the eternal problem of e-mobility, i.e. the chicken or the egg dilemma, pilot fleets that require the infrastructure for electric mobility in the country will be set up as part of the project, in different parts of South Tyrol.

Before creating these pilot fleets, several criteria will be evaluated:

• Which technology (battery, fuel cell or a combination) satisfies most the users’ needs (a needs assessment is fundamental)?
• What kind of vehicle is needed (van, car, shuttle bus, etc.)?
• What vehicles are available on the market?

The LIFEalps project aims at buying more than 30 zero emission vehicles which are / will be available for rent at very favourable conditions.
